Nancy learned to quilt when she was living in Hawaii and took her first quilting class. The project was a Hawaiian quilted pillow. This is how she fell in love with hand applique and hand quilting, and they are still her favorite techniques.
Occasionally Nancy makes pieced quilts, but her true love is creating intricate hand appliqued designs and finishing them with hand quilting. She is always looking for interesting applique patterns, and also designs “house” quilts – specific houses recreated in fabric.
Nancy has received several awards for quilts entered in juried shows in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The light floral applique quilt pictured below was chosen to represent our guild in a show at the New England Quilt Museum. These samples of her work are just a hint of what you will see at the show.
